February 20th, 2010 Kirsten and Mike had a sweet little ceremony and followed it with a party to remember! Edmonton’s small world phenomenon struck again, we ended up knowing a few of the guests in attendance through family friends.
These two planned this wedding in 4 short months. We only sat down with them near the end of December to discuss their wedding photography. The whole wedding took place at the Edmonton Petroleum Club and we did the wedding portraits just down the street at NAIT’s HP centre. Gord decided to come and shoot with us for the afternoon too. Its always fun when we all go out together.
Kirsten came to us as a referral from Shaun’s sister Kristina. Kirsten brought along her daughter Marlie too. Marlie was so full of energy and life. I spent most of my time giving her a tour of the house and answering all her interesting questions, while Shaun met with Kirsten and discussed photography.![]()
Marlie has a spark that most definitely comes from her mother, and Mike caught the sparks! During the ceremony Mike wanted to show Marlie that he was not only committing to love and honour Kirsten as his wife, but also Marlie as a daughter. He presented her with a locket to symbolize this. It was very touching.
Congratulations to all three of you. Thanks so much for asking us to be there with you. Hope you like the pictures as much as we do.
cheers,
Steph
